If something went wrong, the most useful things to include are what you asked the app to do, what it said, and the version number at the bottom of Settings.
Common things
- The app talks over VoiceOver. It should not read the interface automatically. End any live Assist session and please mail us with the version number, because that is a bug.
- The app is quiet. Check the ring/silent switch and volume. The app reads a screen only when you choose Hear this screen, and answers camera questions only when you start an Assist action.
- It says it is not sure. Vera could not verify the answer. If it is safe, reframe the subject or improve the light and ask again. Even a confident answer can be mistaken.
- The annual plan does not load. Check your connection, then choose Check plan. Vera shows only the live plan Apple returns; it does not substitute a sample price or trial.
- You already subscribed. Choose Restore purchases on the Vera Plus screen or in Settings. Restore checks the Apple Account currently signed in for purchases.
- You want to cancel renewal. Choose Manage subscription in Settings. This opens Apple's subscription controls. Deleting Vera data does not cancel an Apple subscription.
- You want to turn off online processing. Settings → About → Privacy & processing. The app ends live activity and shows the provider disclosure before it can be turned on again.
- You want Vera data deleted. Settings → Delete my account. It removes saved app data and preferences from this device, erases its Vera database records, and requests RevenueCat customer deletion. RevenueCat may queue the request. A temporary, content-free deletion-protection marker remains as described in the Privacy Policy. If deletion is pending, reopen Vera online to retry. Apple keeps its purchase record; use Manage subscription separately to cancel renewal.
